February 5th is the 28th annual Girls and Women In Sports Day, so I’d love to hear what you’re doing to celebrate. Leslie Wenert at Cincinnati selected the Bearcats’ home game on Saturday, January 25th, which is sponsored by the UC College of Education, Sport Administration and Criminal Justice & Human Services. With these educational sponsors, Leslie was able to include the opportunity to learn about having a career in sports in addition to autographs with the team, snacks and gift bags.
Also before the game, she has activities like the Football toss, Face Painting, Pop-A-Shot, Cornhole and more. All of this is free for the first 350 girls in 5th-8th grade to register. Plus, fans will be entertained during the game with all of the usual fun stuff that happens at Women’s Basketball games, like the team tunnel and being part of the Ring of Red!
